Anne’s parents were defrauded by a big firm in Tennessee that was financially advising them and managing their trust. They were defrauded of millions of dollars. Anne became the successor trustee when her mother died. It was a very painful lawsuit over a trust.

Anne’s Professional Background: 

“I was a Mental Health supervisor. I specialized in post-traumatic stress, and sexually abused children. I also worked as a forensic expert and did evaluations on really awful people who committed heinous crimes. I had my Ph.D., but more than that, I had worked in the system for years and years. So, I had all of the training that one should have had to see this coming as I knew all the things to look for. So, they were able to defraud my parents with my eyes wide open.

When I first discovered that all of this had occurred, my knees were knocked out from under me. I was so blindsided. I was so paralyzed. I felt so guilty and so responsible.

I had all the information that one should have had to SEE THIS COMING!

All of my training, until I met Marnie, had been useless!

There were just so many things in the way.

By the time I had come to Marnie, I knew the laws in five different states down to minuscule levels. I talked to all the right people. I talked to people in the state legislatures, I talked to people in the attorney general’s office, the prosecuting attorney’s office, in the counties. I had gone to all the right people. I talked to the top lawyers, and I got nowhere.

I was so bereft. I was incapable of doing anything. I just stopped working. I sold my home to get funds. My dear husband had put up with all of this. We had a financial crisis in our county and he got swept up in that, and we were out of money. I was at the bottom when I started working with Marnie!”
